Abstract

This study analyzes employees' perceptions of organizational climate, institutional culture, and staff development at a Peruvian public university. Based on an organizational assessment conducted with faculty and administrative staff (n = 47, from a population of 180 employees), dimensions related to internal communication, interpersonal relationships, recognition, institutional ethics, transparency, training, performance evaluation, and professional growth opportunities were evaluated using a 48-item Likert-scale questionnaire. The results reveal heterogeneous perceptions across dimensions, with relative strengths in institutional identification (M = 3.49) and weaknesses in recognition, feedback, work resources, and professional development (M = 3.27 and M = 3.28). The study concludes that strengthening internal management requires comprehensive interventions aimed at improving working conditions, consolidating a coherent institutional culture, and promoting staff development strategies.
